Sarah Jane Scouten
Sarah Jane Scouten is a Canadian folk and country artist whose songwriting blends classic Americana influences with deeply personal storytelling. During the pandemic, while living in rural Scotland, she began training in herbal medicine—a journey that renewed her creative perspective and led her back to writing and recording. Her fifth album, Turned to Gold, draws inspiration from artists like Tom Petty, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt, exploring themes of loss, healing, and transformation through vivid, road-worn songs. A four-time Canadian Folk Music Award nominee, Sarah Jane has performed at major folk festivals across Canada and internationally and is widely praised for her clarity, warmth, and emotional depth as a songwriter and performer.
