This class will dive into to wonderful world of mandolin and it’s role in a bluegrass band. We will dive into back up, licks, tricks, solos and songs. We will study the greats of mandolin past and present with an emphasis on Bill Monroe. This class is perfect for expanding your traditional bluegrass mandolin horizons!

Adrossan, Alberta born and raised Matt Hotte began playing fiddle at 4 years old and mandolin at 10 - and he's never looked back! He's always been a lover of traditional bluegrass music and music history. Matt started touring with a band called the Liberty Bluegrass Boys from Texas when he was 15 on banjo, and later a stint with The Gillis Brothers and then on to tour with Lost Highway from California on fiddle for 2 years.

He's an extremely talented musician and teacher, and we're always glad to have him back. Matt also plays with sister Kayla Hotte.
