There is no tax on Admin Fee or Accommodations.
The Weekend Pass goes from mid-day Friday to mid-day Sunday, and includes the ability to buy weekend meals, attend the Friday Honky Tonk Dance, the Saturday Festival, the Sunday Morning Gospel Set at the Sorrento Centre Outdoor Chapel, and jam onsite on Friday and Saturday evening. This ticket is for everyone wishing to attending these events, staying either on or off-site. Currently only available to workshop attendees. Meals and Accommodations are not included in this pass.
Single Day Saturday Festival Passes will be available online starting in early June. Advance $35 and $39 at the gate.
The Workshop Fee includes your workshop; afternoon electives; staff concerts; a student band scramble; the student concert; at least two Old-Time dances with live music and a real caller in the evenings; hosted bluegrass and old-time evening jams, and occasions throughout the week to meet new friends, interact and jam with our staff, and much more!
Pickers and Grinners can choose the non-student option, which includes all of the above program items except enrolment in a workshop and participation in the student concert.
The Sunday BBQ, evening snacks and unlimited coffee and tea in the dining room are also included for all participants.
NimbleFingers Payment & Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required to secure your workshop and accommodations at the time of registration. The online system takes a $100 dollar deposit, then when your registration is confirmed (up to 24hrs), your card is charged the full balance, and you will receive an email confirmation to that effect.
Cancellations up to and including July 19th will be refunded in full, minus a $150.00+GST non-refundable deposit per workshop week and $100.00 + GST for any accommodations booked. We're unable to offer any refunds after July 19th, 2018.

*For those traveling with family member who do not plan to register for the workshop, there are lots of nearby hotels, motels and camping facilities BUT BE SURE TO BOOK EARLY! This is a popular summer resort area.
The Sunday evening BBQ and all evening snacks are included in your participant fee. Attendees have the option of preparing meals at campsites or saving precious time by having the Sorrento Centre kitchen do the cooking. Their food is better than ever and now features fresh produce from their own organic farm. Think bowls overflowing with ripe cherry tomatoes . . . yum! The full meal package, spanning Monday breakfast to Friday breakfast, includes 13 delicious and nutritious meals for $170.00+ GST
Other options are the dinner only package (4 dinners) for $72.00 + GST or the lunch only package (4 lunches) for $48.00 + GST. Children under 12 are half price. Please let Sorrento Centre know if you prefer vegetarian meals or if you have other special requirements.
Some FAQs about registration
Can I invite family or friends to come and visit onsite or take in a concert? Sorry, drop-ins and unregistered friends and family members will not be permitted at the workshop site. Contact us if you have any questions about this.
I've never played an instrument before. Can I come? Our beginning classes assume a basic knowledge of your instrument, so arriving on the first day not knowing which end is up isn't a good thing. But that said, if you're really keen, go ahead and sign up. As soon as you press 'submit', go get out your instrument and start practicing. Take a few lessons if you can; you'll get much more out of the camp experience.
Can children come? Yes—but please keep in mind there is no separate program for children. Although we do welcome young players and every year there are a handful and sometimes more, we don’t have the systems in place for children not ready to fully function in an adult-based class. If your youth is familiar with their instrument and keen on learning in a multi-age workshop setting, we’d absolutely love to have them. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or authorized adult. Please touch base with us if you're thinking of bringing a student under 14.
Can I bring my dog? Yes, tho if you are able to leave your dog at home, it's better for everyone. Please read our Dog Policy.
Is there a Bursary Fund or any Scholarships that are available? Yes, we do have a Bursary Fund which some of our participants generously donate to. Several participants every year also receive funding through their local bluegrass or old-time music associations, or as well through local arts councils. We review the forms bi-weekly. You can either register in full and then apply, or wait till you find out if you've been accepted for a bursary and then apply. 2018 Bursary Form
If you're in a position to donate to the Bursary Fund, of course we always welcome donations. We try very hard to distribute those funds in a non-judgemental way to those who just would not be able to make it to camp otherwise. For some people this is truly their 'soul food' for the year. For our extended community to thrive, we feel we need to help facilitate in any way we can these folks getting to camp.
